Certification Introduction

The national push ROHS certification is a certification that the state promotes to reduce and reduce the pollution caused by electronic information products to the environment. The purpose of the national promotion of ROHS certification is to reduce or eliminate a total of 6 substances in electronic information products such as lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ethers. The nationally promoted RoHS certification system adopts a unified product catalog, unified certification technical specifications, certification rules and conformity assessment procedures, and unified marking principles.

In 2018, nine ministries and commissions including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Science and Technology compiled the "Administrative Catalogue for Restricted Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products (First Batch)" and "Exceptional List of Application of Restricted Substances in the Compliance Management Catalogue". The content of lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ethers should meet the relevant standards for the restricted use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products, and be included in the management scope of the management system for the conformity assessment of the display of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products.

The national push ROHS will be enforced on November 1, 2019. All products in the "Management Catalogue of Restricted Use of Hazardous Substances for Electrical and Electronic Products (First Batch)" should meet the requirements of the national push ROHS regulations.

China promotes ROHS certified laboratory institutions

Only laboratories authorized by the China Accreditation Regulatory Commission to allow the implementation of RoHS certification inspections can undertake inspections. Applicable product range

The first batch (12 categories) of compulsory products promoted by ROHS in China: refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, electric water heaters, printers, copiers, fax machines, televisions, monitors (including monitors, displays, etc.), microcomputers Desktop computers, notebooks, tablets and other PCs), mobile communication handsets, and stand-alone phones.

The nationally promoted ROHS certificate covering 12 types of products is valid for 5 years and needs to be subject to regular supervision and spot checks every year.
